The commercial equine centre hosts an extensive range of competitions, demonstrations and clinics, and is a BHS training and examination centre. The college also uses a broad range of specialist equipment to support research trials.
Bishop Burton regularly hosts regional, national and international equestrian events throughout the year, including showjumping, dressage and horse trials. It is also the host venue for the FEI Pony European Championships 2018

BTEC Level 3 in Equine Management – This course provides core training for anyone wishing to develop an active career that includes riding, teaching equine science and therapy, for example. Also available at Riseholme College, in Lincolnshire.
Access to Higher Education Diploma in Land-Based Studies – Equine – This course is for students with a passion for working with horses and develops the practical skills and knowledge needed to progress into higher education and study for a degree. FdSc Equine Therapy and Rehabilitation – This programme is designed for people with prior knowledge of horses seeking to develop their academic knowledge and practical skills within the therapy and rehabilitation sector.
FdSc Equine Sports Science and Coaching – This programme combines academic modules in equine and human sports science with practical equitation and coaching modules that will enable you to appreciate the role of the professional coach and to understand the qualities needed to coach effectively.
FdSc Business Management for the Equine Industry – This course will enable students to develop practical equitation skills as well as providing sound business and scientific principles and knowledge related to the equine industry.
BSc (Hons) Equine Sports Science and Coaching – As part of this degree, you will get the chance to combine academic modules in equine and human sports science with practical equitation and coaching modules.
BSc (Hons) Equine Therapy and Rehabilitation – This course covers the core academic and practical applications of equine therapy and rehabilitation and will give you the chance to explore the valuable contribution it makes to producing and maintaining the equine athlete.
BSc (Hons) Equine Science – This degree focuses on equine science with practical application enhanced by the integration of scientific theory.
BSc (Hons) Business Management for the Equine Industry – As part of this degree programme you will learn a combination of equine business and science, giving you an in-depth understanding of the business side of the equine industry.
BSc Equine Health and Nutrition - This programme is held at the Riseholme College, a part of Bishop Burton College, in Lincolnshire. It provides an in-depth specialist understanding of the well-being of the horse through study of the principles underpinning equine health and nutritional management.
