Job Description

KBIS British Equestrian Insurance, the UK’s leading independent equine insurance specialist is looking for a cheerful team player to join their experienced claims team at their rural office near Newbury in Berkshire.

The ideal candidate will be self-driven, enthusiastic, have excellent organisational skills, be highly motivated and have an ability to multi-task. High levels of technical knowledge and customer service are essential for this role.

Job Specification

  • The provision of first class customer service
  • Compliance with all regulatory and internal system controls
  • Deciding on Underwriters liability
  • Making proactive decisions to obtain required information to effectively handle the claim
  • Handling day-to-day administration tasks to support the claims team and customer journey

Person Specification

  • Equine veterinary knowledge is essential
  • Previous insurance experience is desirable but not essential
  • Must be confident liaising with clients, veterinary surgeons, Underwriters and agents
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Be able to show an empathetic manner in difficult situations
  • Computer literate
  • Must be a team player
  • Must have the ability to prioritise workloads and possess excellent organisational skills

Full training will be provided. Salary negotiable depending on experience, benefits include a pension and medical insurance after the completion of a successful probationary period. An added benefit is you can BRING YOUR DOG TO WORK!
