About the Role
Our Equine Claims Unit deals with all equine claims and enquiries made by NFU Mutual customers across the UK. As well as liaising with customers, you’ll communicate with vets and third parties, and provide information to underwriters for renewal information. You’ll also be responsible for invoice processing and payments. From the moment you pick up the phone, you’ll make customers feel at ease, giving them the time, care and attention they deserve.
You’ll be dealing solely with equine claims, so you will need to have equine experience – this could be academic and/or practical experience. Whichever way, you will have a good understanding of horses and their welfare. Of course, you’ll also need to be empathetic and understanding, with a confident telephone manner and attentive listening skills. Customer service experience would be great, as would an insurance background, but it isn’t essential, as we’ll give you all the training you need to get started. You will ideally have five GCSEs (or equivalent) at Grade C or above, including Maths and English Language as a minimum.
