Equine Veterinary Technician
Henley-in-Arden, Warwickshire

We are dedicated to providing the very best in equine veterinary care for the health, performance and breeding of the sport horse.

An exciting opportunity to join this fantastic growing company as Equine Veterinary Technician. Due to the nature of the position there will be some weekend, bank holiday and on call work on a rota basis.

Our facilities include an 11 box inpatient yard, 2 examination rooms, enclosed level trot up, Outdoor arena, Indoor arena, Lab, standing surgery suite, turnout paddocks, horse walker, office and waiting room.

Candidates must reside within 30 minutes driving time from Henley in Arden clinic.

You will be responsible for:

  • Assisting Veterinarians with horses within their care during all procedures both clinically and ambulatory
  • Assisting with diagnostic procedures such as, radiography, ultrasonography and endoscopy
  • Maintaining clinical records
  • Performing laboratory duties such as faecal worm egg counts and blood work
  • Carrying out general cleaning duties throughout the dispensary, laboratory and clinical areas
  • General stable and yard duties where required 

To be considered for our Equine Veterinary Technician it will be essential to have:

  • Confidence and experience in handling all types of horses
  • Good organisational skills
  • A flexible and supportive attitude
  • A full driving licence
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Good IT skills.
