Job Description

Feed Advisor

Thunderbrook Equestrian Ltd

Location: Griston, Norfolk IP25

Thunderbrook Equestrian is an equine feed and herbal supplement company wholeheartedly based on natural ingredients.

We are looking to recruit for the role of Feed Advisor to join our small and friendly team.

This role will require previous experience of working in an office / customer service environment but above all the successful candidate must hold an Equine Science degree (Or expect to graduate this year), and therefore demonstrate a thorough understanding of Equine feed requirements and associated matters – with the ability to confidently and correctly advise customers on natural feeding.

Our natural ethos is important to us, so we are seeking a nutrition enthusiast to convey this in the advice they offer to our customers when assisting on the feed advice line.

Aside from this the successful candidate will also be required to oversee a variety of tasks, including quality control, and the various administration involved with Nutritional Schemes including NOPS, UFAS, FEMAS and other vital accreditations. It would therefore be a distinct advantage for any candidate to have a familiarisation of such matters.

As with any small team, this is an all-consuming role, with no 2 days the same, you will be a valued member of the team where everyone will muck in as required. The variety of tasks will range from – but not limited to:

  • Advising customers on the Feed Advice Line
  • Nutritional Accreditation Administration
  • Quality Control
  • Answering telephone and e mail nutritional enquiries
  • Sales support
  • Liaising with our stockists to increase sales
  • Helping out on our trade stand at various shows

The successful candidate will be;

  • Proactive and confident in their ability to correctly advise customers, face to face and on the phone
  • Able to work from their initiative, and prioritise work
  • A professional at all times
  • Able to present to groups, attending talks, trade fairs and shows representing our brand.
  • Flexible in their approach, able to work within a team and able to get stuck in to any task.

This is primarily an office based post so ideally candidates need to live locally to our offices in Griston, Norfolk.

To apply please send your CV and covering letter to eddie@thunderbrook.co.uk along with an idea of your salary expectations.
