We are looking for a Logistics & Operations Assistant to join our team on April 1st, 2022, however we are flexible for the right candidate.

This is an office-based post and the candidate would need to live ideally in a commutable distance to our offices - In Oswestry.

Within the role you will work closely with our team, external suppliers and there will be opportunities to progress within the company through learning and developing specific knowledge and skills.

Requirements of the Logistics & Operations Assistant:

  • Excellent phone, email, zoom, written and verbal communication
  • Logistics experience – Booking/Tracking shipments worldwide
  • Ability to work closely with colleagues as part of a team to meet objectives and deadlines
  • Must be able to follow guidelines closely but also use own initiative if required to work independently
  • Proven ability in planning, prioritising and time management of daily tasks
  • Must have excellent skills in Microsoft Office, Outlook email and calendar systems. CRM training will be given but some experience of this would be of an advantage
  • Financial experience preferable in relation to shipping expenditure
  • Dangerous Goods Certificate is an advantage
  • Good numeracy skills
  • Attention to detail is paramount
  • Have enthusiasm and a proactive attitude

Responsibilities of the Logistics & Operations Assistant:

  • Veterinary equipment logistics; UK, Europe and Worldwide
  • Logistical management of veterinary equipment using online booking systems
  • Liaising with international logistics companies
  • Liaising with international suppliers
  • Liaising with customers by phone, zoom and email
  • Logistic budget
  • Inspecting incoming/outgoing veterinary equipment (You will follow a training programme on all our specialist equipment)

Competitive salary dependent upon experience. £19,000.00-£22,000.00 per year
