Salary - £20,000pa

The Race Management Coordinator is part of the Editorial team within the Racing Operations Department. The team plays a vital role in publishing race conditions, so that owners and trainers are aware of the races that are taking place and their race conditions. Publications include the weekly Racing Calendar, the Programme Book and both the flat and jumps Pattern & Listed books.

Key responsibilities include: 

  • Collating the content for the Racing Calendar and other BHA publications.
  • Proof reading publications before going to print.
  • Ensuring race details are accurately published on the internet.
  • Ensuring team publishing deadlines are met.
  • Ensure the accurate publication of notices.
  • Liaising with stakeholders on sign off of content and revisions.
  • Updating race details on the database.
  • Assisting with the publication of the fixture list.
  • Checking of race results
  • Assisting with the checking of qualification of horses in races.

The ideal candidate will have an excellent eye for detail, a meticulous and flexible approach to work, excellent communication skills and the ability to manage a busy workload whilst working to tight deadlines.

A good knowledge of the racing industry would also be an advantage.
