Job Title: Sales Representative

Location:  Extensive nationwide travel required with regular nights away from home

Hours of work: 45hrs per week. Monday – Friday, between 0730 and 1730 Work additional or anti-social hours as required to meet the needs of the business.

Salary: Circa  £26,000 gross per annum + commission/bonus (depending on experience) + vehicle or mileage allowance will be paid for business miles. To be reviewed at end of probationary period.    

Holidays – 20 days + Bank Holidays

We offer a range of products across the Equestrian Construction Sector and are looking for a motivated, organised individual, who works well under pressure, who will work alongside our existing sales team to promote our goods and services to potential and existing clients.  The ability to manage own time effectively and to adapt to the changing demands and needs of the business is crucial. 

Core areas of responsibility / duties

  • Arrange sales appointments with leads provided from sales office and generate own leads alongside these following through to visit customer on site.
  • Feedback information from sales visits to sales office for quotation preparation
  • Follow up quotations with customers providing additional information as and when required to progress to a customer order
  • Suggest applicable and relevant upsells to customers where applicable
  • Learn how products work and how to troubleshoot issues with customers
  • Meet weekly, monthly and quarterly sales targets
  • Prepare and submit weekly activity reports to management
  • Represent the company at events as required including some weekends
  • Adhere to all applicable company policies and procedures.
  • Carry out any other duties as are within the scope and purpose of the job, as requested by their line manager some weekend work will be required in support of events.

Communication/IT Duties

  • Build and maintain excellent customer relationships
  • Familiar with MS Office particularly Word, Outlook and Excel

Person Specification / Qualifications

  • 2+ years’ B to C sales experience
  • Basic equestrian knowledge and interest
  • Good communicator
  • Comfortable dealing with customers both in person and by telephone 
  • Self-starter who can prioritise workload and plan own diary 

 Job Type: Full-time

                Probationary period 3 months
