College Courses
Diploma in Sporting Excellence
If you’re rider and want the opportunity to improve performance via a blended learning programme consisting of central ‘camps’ at Hartpury College and ‘home visits’ from the rider’s assigned mentor/assessor, then this course is for you. This blended learning programme is in partnership with British Dressage, British Eventing, and British Showjumping. This programme is taken alongside an academic course.
Level 3 Foundation Diploma Equine Management Business
This course allows you to gain detailed academic knowledge and an in-depth understanding of horse management and business through both theory-based and practical sessions. You'll study both pure business and equine-related units, giving you the specialised knowledge needed to pursue a range of careers.
This course is for students who want to develop the theoretical and practical skills to work with horses in the equine industry. Our students have regular yard duties, including weekends. You’ll complete internal work experience to develop your skills in a workplace setting.
Level 3 Extended Diploma Equine Management Science
If you're passionate about equine science and want to learn about the structure, diet, behaviour and rehabilitation of horses, then this course is ideal for you. You’ll gain detailed academic knowledge and an understanding of equine science, supporting you to progress into higher education or prepare you for an exciting career in the equine industry.
Level 3 Extended Diploma Equine Management Equitation (Riding)
This course gives you the opportunity to gain detailed academic knowledge and an in-depth understanding of horse management and equitation through theory-based and practical sessions.
Level 3 Extended Diploma Equine Management Business
You’ll have the opportunity to gain detailed academic knowledge and an in-depth understanding of horse management and equitation through theory-based and practical sessions.
Level 3 Diploma Equine Management Equitation (Riding)
You’ll have the opportunity to progress further with your studies and continue to enhance your theory based knowledge and practical skills by utilising the outstanding equine facilities on campus.

MSc Veterinary Physiotherapy
This part-time programme is available to chartered physiotherapists who are looking to specialise in animals. Graduates from this programme will either receive a Postgraduate Diploma or MSc in Veterinary Physiotherapy, which will allow them to upgrade from Category B membership of ACPAT to Category A.
