Based in the heart of Newcastle Upon Tyne, we are looking for a dedicated and reliable Accounts Administrator to join our growing team.

ROLE OVERVIEW

As an Accounts Administrator, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial integrity of the business. You will be responsible for handling a range of accounting and administrative tasks, ensuring smooth and accurate financial operations. This role requires attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Strong understanding of bookkeeping procedures and best practises

  • Impeccable time-management skills

  • Capability to stay organised and maintain detailed records

  • Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies

  • Comprehensive knowledge of tax filing procedures

  • Basic arithmetic competency

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Process and reconcile sales invoices, purchase orders, and payments. 

  • Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and receivable.

  • Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

  • Monitor and track stock levels in relation to financial transactions.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills

  • Experience in data entry

  • Significant experience in finance or accounting

  • Effective decision making and problem-solving techniques

  • Proficiency with Sage 50 accounting software

  • Advanced knowledge of spreadsheet software including Excel and Google Sheets

WORKING HOURS: 20 hours per week
