It is an exciting time to be joining this family business as I’Anson Holdings have invested over £30 million in a new, state of the art animal feed manufacturing plant to extend their current facilities. There is now an opportunity for a driven Area Sales Manager to help deliver a positive return on this, the single largest investment in the business since creation in 1900.
British Horse Feeds & The Golden Paste Company are divisions of I’Anson Holdings, a family business and one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of animal feedstuffs based in North Yorkshire. British Horse Feeds (BHF) known for its flagship product Speedi-Beet has a small range of equine feeds which are available in both the UK and overseas markets. The Golden Paste (GPC) Company specialise in natural turmeric-based supplements and have a diverse range of products covering equine, pets and people.
With a focus on sales and profitability, we are looking for a ASM that will seek opportunities in new and existing accounts for the Group. The successful candidate will oversee the regional accounts for both divisions and contribute to sales to meet specific objectives and key results.
Responsibilities of the Area Sales Manager include:
Contributing to the successful and profitable sales of both company’s product portfolio
To represent the company(s) in a professional manner, be dressed smartly and in company provided branding at all times
Support and grow sales to existing customers and to identify new sales opportunities in your area
Service indirect customers (those buying our products though the stockist network) through providing point-of-sale, in store product training and shelf management services to produce sales.
Plan and develop merchandising strategies to grow sales.
As a field-based role; you will be working remotely and responsible for planning your calls and visits to your customer base
To represent the company in conjunction with the group sales team at Exhibitions/Shows or Events.
To enhance the reputation and standing of the company in the area by building strong customer relationships, providing exceptional support and facilitating top class communication between the company and the customers
The successful candidate will have:
2+ years’ of field sales experience
Strong evidence of growing product sales
Target driven and possess a “can do” attitude
Expereince working within the equestrian or pet industry
Ability to work in a team driven environment
Excellent communication skills
Advanced IT Skills – Sound working knowledge of all Microsoft Office products
Current UK Driving licence
CRM experience (preferably HubSpot)
Ideal location area based Cambridge / Surrey / Anglia region
