We are a busy family run store based just 10 miles from Gloucester. 

We are sadly losing a key member of staff, and so therefore we now have a vacancy for an Assistant Manager to join our busy team.

Store opening times

Monday  12 - 7pm

Tuesday  CLOSED

Wednesday  12 - 7pm

Thursday  12 - 7pm

Friday  12 - 7pm

Saturday 10 - 4.30pm

Sunday 11 - 4pm
Full time positions will work alternate weekend day.


The successful candidate will be:

  • Motivated, Reliable, Trustworthy, Professional
  • Able to lead by example and manage others
  • With good communication and leadership skills a must.
  • Retail experience is essential in this customer facing role.

Full training for Hat, Bodyprotector & Boot Fitting will be provided.

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Replenishing Stock
  • Changing Displays
  • Advising & Assisting Customers
  • Delegating Jobs to other staff members
  • Work as a team and have initiative to work on your own
  • Open & Close the store when required
  • Load Feed & Bedding into customers cars
  • Handling complaints and liaising with the Managers

Job Duties:

  • Demonstrating excellent customer service and standards at all times
  • Handling customer complaints and resolving issues
  • Filling in for absent employees as required to ensure smooth operation of the business
  • Acting as a role model for all employees by continuously exhibiting a high level of service and attention to detail in all tasks
  • Delegating tasks to employees
  • Keeping day-to-day activities organised
  • Recruiting and interviewing new staff
  • Leading training classes or providing one-on-one training to employees
  • Supervising employees and providing additional training and coaching as needed
  • Ensuring a happy team environment
  • Maintaining staff motivation
  • Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
  • Training employees in proper safety procedures and providing training updates as needed
  • Organising promotions and spearheading marketing efforts by setting up displays and educating customers and employees on promotions or specials

This role is approx 38 hours per week over 5 days inc one weekend day and a Tuesday off.
