Hours: Full time 40 hours per week including Saturdays with a day off in the week (9-5pm)

Salary: Competitive and relative to experience (on application)

Location: Bourton on the Water, Gloucestershire, GL54 2JJ

Colne Saddlery has been established for 45 years and is now a thriving business in the heart of the Cotswolds.  We supply all products required for the horse and rider. Along with a fantastic workshop, we have a team of 3 saddle fitters with an onsite arena.

We take great pride in offering our customers a stylish and enjoyable shopping experience. Colne is a bustling, vibrant, busy environment which moves at a fast pace. During this strange year we have invested in a new epos system and new website so the challenge of the post pandemic environment awaits with exciting developments.

Role:

Colne Saddlery are seeking a proactive Retail Assistant Manager. This role requires an individual with a confident sales manner to interact with a well established customer base. The candidate should have excellent communication skills and enthusiasm for promoting Colne Saddlery and its products.  The candidate will be primarily responsible for Stock Management and customer orders in unison with the Company Directors.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Shop floor; serving customers on a daily basis
  • Stock Management, ordering and processing
  • Fitting Safety Garments (full training will be provided)

What are we looking for:

  • Essential Equine knowledge and experience
  • Experience within the industry preferred but not essential
  • Be numeracy and IT proficient as you will need to adapt to use our inhouse epos system to control stock, process customer orders and order on wholesales B2B sites.
  • Able to use the suite of Microsoft office products
  • A good communicator to continue and promote relationships with wholesalers
  • Positive professional attitude, someone who can work well with a diverse small team
  • Highly organised and capable of multi-tasking
