This is an exciting opening to join our dynamic EquiFeast Sales and Marketing team and drive the business forwards. Combine your previous equine nutrition field sales experience with your marketing and promotion nouse to thrive on the challenge of this business development role. It will involve field sales to existing and potential customers and yards, developing and producing marketing and promotion campaigns, telephone sales, nutritional advice involving many different sectors within equestrianism including racing. 

You will need previous field sales experience, knowledge of equestrianism and equine science, great drive to succeed and make things happen and you will thrive on meeting challenges. You will have great interpersonal skills, enthusiasm, but be able to combine this with an organised and analytical approach and be good at the details. 

The job is based in our Nailsworth office, Gloucestershire, which you will need to be based near, but will involve frequent trips to anywhere in the UK. 

The Company

EquiFeast has an exciting range of nutritional supplements and feed balancers and uses some unique and unusual nutritional technologies to create products that are producing exciting benefits in both performance and welfare.  Our products are formulated and manufactured in our Gloucestershire premises and sold throughout the UK and to selected overseas markets.  EquiFeast is a division of Calinnova Ltd which also produces nutritional products for sale under the brands of The Birdcare Company, DrS Animalcare and CROCdoc, again selling within the UK and to many overseas markets. 

We are looking for the following skills, experience and educational qualifications:

  • An appropriate degree and knowledge of biology and equine nutrition, graduating in 2014 or earlier
  • A good understanding of equestrianism and/or racing
  • A minimum of 2 years full-time work experience in an Equine Nutrition sales and marketing role, including field sales experience
  • A sales oriented, personable, professional, organised yet flexible person with the drive to make a difference
  • Own transport essential, as is preparedness to travel, involving some nights and weekends away 

In-house training will be provided on our product range building on your existing knowledge base.

You will  need to live within commuting distance of Nailsworth. You will have the desire to demonstrate what you can achieve for us using your skills, contacts and experience. 

Equine Science graduates and/or experience selling to yards will be highly regarded.
