Campaign Coordinator

Campaign Co-odinator (Temporary Contract / Part Time)

An exciting and rewarding role is currently available with the ‘Take Up the Reins’ Campaign being run by The British Equestrian Trade Association. The Take up the Reins Tour of Great Britain is part of a fantastic, fun campaign where people of all ages and backgrounds are invited to #GetHorsey. It will see three mechanical horses embark on an awareness-raising journey where they will stop off at shows and events throughout the country.

The role is a customer facing role, coordinating and attending shows across the country over the coming months and engaging the general public to become involved with riding.

The successful candidate will need to be confident, engaging, professional and importantly, knowledgeable and passionate about riding, to promote our popular past time to newcomers, encouraging them to participate and ‘take up the reins’.

Self-employed candidates are welcome to apply for the role. The days are mostly weekends and / or bank holidays and this is a temporary contract with approximately 30 days booked into the Calendar for 2016 to attend primarily non equine events taking place mainly in England but with several planned forays into Scotland and Wales.

The successful candidate will need to be flexible with their availability, as responsibilities will include collecting the required equipment, travelling to the show, set up, co coordinating the run of the day, and breakdown before returning to base. Responsibility of operations will depend on the location of the show and other available staff.

Required skills include;

  • Confident Communication Skills
  • An engaging personable manner
  • Ability to tow a trailer would be a distinct advantage
  • First hand knowledge of riding and the equestrian industry
  • Experience in teaching at any level would be helpful

The successful candidate will ideally be centrally based in England, however we will also consider a job share with candidates based in the North and South of England.

There is the opportunity for further growth within this role for the right person in future campaigns.
