The Brooke
This Spring, the Brooke will launch its ambitious new five-year global strategy following a sustained period of outstanding growth in improving the health and wellbeing of working horses, donkeys and mules across the world. We have achieved this by engaging effectively with communities for better welfare, treatment and veterinary services and through the successful lobbying of key global players to change policy and practice for the mutual benefit of both the animals and their owners – the millions of people whose livelihoods depend on them.
The Brooke currently reach over 1800,000 working animals and are on track to achieve our goal of reaching 2 million working animals and benefitting 12 million people by the end of 2016.
We actively recruit talented individuals who can bring their professional expertise to a growing organisation which prides itself on being a leading animal welfare INGO operating across a growing number of countries in Africa, Latin America and Asia.
The Role
The Corporate Fundraising Account Manager role is an existing position within the Major Relationships team. The position includes personal responsibility for stewardship of a portfolio of equestrian partners alongside a new business income target. The emphasis of this role is on face-to-face communication and creating relationship building opportunities at events and through one-to-one meetings.
The Corporate Fundraising Account Manager is a key player within the communication and fundraising team. The successful candidate will be involved in coordinating a Brooke presence at equestrian shows across the UK and a knowledge of the equestrian world would be an advantage.
Criteria
We are looking for someone with a successful track record of working with companies in the context of charity partnerships. The successful candidate will have a confident and persuasive nature and able to communicate effectively at all levels.
The role requires exemplary communication and relationship management skills with the ability to utilise a variety of sources, including the Brooke’s networks, to deliver a strong new business pipeline. The post holder must also have excellent written communication skills as they will write funding proposals, grant applications and reports. The role involves an outward facing approach so being willing and able to telephone clients and prospects, travel across the UK to meet and follow-up with first class stewardship is essential.
