As a horse feed company, our guiding principle and the driving force behind our business is to help owners feed their horses as naturally as possible.

The Marketing team have a requirement for a new team member to join them as Creative Assistant.

This new role will consist of the following responsibilities.

Working alongside the Marketing Manager  - helping to develop and implement marketing initiatives with particular emphasis on design and point of sale materials. 

This role will be working across a mix of digital and print.  Projects will include advertising, artwork for magazines, event graphics, POS displays, direct mail and retail merchandising materials and displays as well as digital designs for websites and social media. 

You will report directly to the Marketing Supervisor to form integrated marketing campaigns. You will be responsible for the creative development and execution of artwork, presenting ideas and concepts and scheduling lead times. Ideally you will have previous experience of working in a graphic design/creative position, alongside a relevant degree and real creative flair. Preferably you will have some small livestock/equine knowledge with a strong visual sense and an eye for detail as well as being competent in using Adobe creative suite, in particular Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator. You will also be passionate and enthusiastic about design and a good team player as you will work within a close team to ensure a cohesive approach to marketing in line with the company brand.  

Main Responsibilities/Tasks:

  • Graphic Design / Artwork – Creating artwork for ASM posters, company literature, adverts and websites etc. Working with external design agencies on projects as required; organising print and checking printer’s proofs.
  • Photography – Managing the company photo library; taking photos for websites / literature and image searching as required.
  • Project work – Working alongside the Marketing Manager, developing, proofing, arranging print, providing administrative support etc. for projects such as internal publications, promotions and new product launches.
  • Marketing support – Handling all on-line and imagery requests from the Area Sales Managers and providing general administrative support and phone cover to the department.

This is a fantastic opportunity to make the job your own - as it is a new role for someone to develop and take on the responsibilities. The role is primarily office based so candidates need to live locally to the office in Thetford, but there will be opportunity for time out of the office for photo shoots and creative work.

The successful candidate should

  • Be forward thinking with creative flare
  • Have relevant previous creative experience to bring to this role, able to work alone with an eye for detail
  • Able to work with the relevant packages, Adobe, In Design, Photoshop, Illustrator
  • A familiarity of Equine is essential to be able to relate to your audience.
