Unicorn Saddlery is a long standing equestrian business in the heart of rural Somerset. With a recognised and established reputation we continue to trade strongly in an increasingly competitive industry. 

We supply equestrian products over the counter and via the internet, provide animal feed and bedding and are one of the leading suppliers of quality fitted saddles in the West Country with a resident SMS Registered and Qualified Saddle Fitter.

We currently trade Monday to Saturday and the position will involve working three Saturdays per month with a day off in the week.

The candidate will be required to fill the following roles:

  • Managing and developing the company website
  • Keep the website updated with new products
  • Analyse website usage statistics and optimise web presence
  • Manage website orders
  • Manage company social media
  • Design marketing campaigns for sales or product promotions 
  • Respond to emails
  • Answer phones
  • Assist with general office admin duties
  • Retail sales on shop floor as and when required

The successful candidate will require the following skills:

  • Administrative experience 
  • Computer literate within Microsoft Office, publisher and photoshop
  • Excellent phone manner
  • Experience with website maintenance and managment
  • Well organised with a high attention to detail, efficient and quick thinking with good common sence
  • Excellent communicator (face to face and over the phone), must have a natural ability to communicate with all customers and staff
  • Be self motivated with the ability to work within a team
  • 100% reliable and trustworthy
  • Hardworking and conscientious
