Essex Animal Feeds are seeking an E Commerce & Marketing Assistant to join them for this full time, office based position.

Its a great opportunity to further develop your business and commercial skills, nurturing existing relationships as well as developing new ones, hone your skills and learn new ones as part of your personal development. The successful candidate will have a familiarity of all things Pet / Equine, and be based locally to Brentwood.

In addition to our Head Office, we have other stores / garden centres which will also form part of this role, which will include hosting events and overseeing online sales activitity.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist in the planning, execution, and optimisation of online marketing campaigns across various channels (e.g., email, social media, PPC, SEO) for multiple brands.

  • Collaborate with the team to ensure all content aligns with the brand guidelines.

  • Content Management - Upload and manage product listings, ensuring accuracy in descriptions, pricing, and images.

  • Assist in creating and curating engaging content for social media, blogs, and email newsletters. Liaising with colleagues and external organisations to collate this information.

  • Performance Analysis - Monitor and report on the performance of marketing campaigns using tools like Google Analytics, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

  • Track and analyse key metrics such as conversion rates, website traffic, and customer engagement.

  • Customer Engagement - Respond to customer inquiries and feedback across social media and email channels, maintaining a high level of customer service and report where necessary to the relevant colleagues across the brands.

  • Support the execution of customer retention strategies, including loyalty programs and special promotions.

  • Market Research - Conduct competitor analysis and market research to identify trends, opportunities, and best practices in the e-commerce space.

  • Assist in the development of new marketing strategies based on industry insights and market trends.

  • Administrative Support - Manage and organise marketing assets, ensuring they are easily accessible for the team and other stakeholders.

  • Assist in the coordination of marketing projects, including scheduling and task management.

The successful candidate must have experience/knowledge of the equine and/or pet industry and a full driving license.
