The Equestrian Employers Association is dedicated to supporting equestrian businesses and employers.

We have a current vacancy working remotely for a part time Member Engagement Coordinator (HR) to join the team.

This is an opportunity for an HR-qualified equestrian interested individual to work for the Equestrian Employers Association, to join our mission to make our industry a place of Good Employment

This exciting and varied role is an integral part of a remote team.

Applicants will need a sound knowledge of current employment law legislation and its practical application in the workplace.

A good understanding of the equestrian sector, and an understanding of grooms and equestrian employers is preferred.

The main purpose of the role is to provide employment advice and guidance to the members of the EEA and lead on member engagement and representation activities.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED 

  • CIPD qualification or demonstrable equivalent experience.

  • Sound knowledge of current employment law legislation and its practical application in the workplace. 

  • Proven communications experience.

  • A good understanding of the equestrian sector and an understanding of grooms and equestrian employers is preferred.

  • A highly accomplished communicator who can convince and influence with their written copy.

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft packages. E.g., Outlook, Word, and Excel.

  • Excellent collaborator able to work as part of a successful virtual team.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Answering employment-related membership queries via telephone call and email

  • Producing and sending regular membership e-newsletters, adhering to the aim of informing, and engaging the membership.

  • Planning a balanced variety of regular EEA social media posts.  Creating and updating website content via blogs, news, and articles.

  • Keeping the EEA and BGA website content up to date with current employment law legislation  Build good relationships, and work closely, with BEF member bodies to promote Good Employment in the equestrian sector. 

  • Manage the relationship between the EEA and The Livery List

  • Manage the relationship between the EEA, HMRC, and the Low Pay Commission. 

  • Management of key campaigns during the year. For example, the National Minimum Wage rise and Good Employment Week.

  • Support the growth in EEA membership. 

  • Delivery of EEA news stories, social media posts, and e-newsletters, working in partnership with the BGA Communications Manager. 

  • Manage the relationship between the EEA and the Law firm supporting the EEA Legal helpline.  Develop where needed, and positively promote the EEA Code of Good Employment.

  • Build surveys in Survey Monkey to gain the view of equestrian employers on various employment-related topics, analyse the results, and produce reports detailing your findings. 

Before applying, please ensure you meet the required skills, this is not a starter position, experience in a similar or equivalent role is required. A Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) qualification or equivalent is required for this role.
