Fosse Hill Farm, is the home of the Royal Agricultural University's renowned equine enterprise. We operate as an essential commercial unit, offering diverse equine livery services while supporting RAU's commitment to equestrian education and cutting-edge academic research.

As our Equestrian Centre Manager at Fosse Hill Farm, you will oversee the daily operations of our equestrian facility in collaboration with the School of Agricultural Science and Practice.

  • Your responsibilities include ensuring first rate horse welfare, managing facility maintenance, and delivering educational programs up to and including BHS Stage 3 Groom’s Certificate. Leadership, client relationship management, and a deep commitment to equine excellence are paramount in this role.

  • Key duties involve managing horse care, maintaining high health standards, and liaising with university management to update on operational needs.

  • You will supervise daily operations, lead a team of technicians, and handle budget oversight.

  • Educational responsibilities encompass preparing and delivering enriching activities, maintaining meticulous records, and upholding Health & Safety standards rigorously.

Required qualifications include:

  • A full UK driving license

  • BHS Stage 3 Groom’s Certificate and ideally, a Telescopic Handler Experienced Certificate.

  • Whilst BHS Stage 4 Senior Yard Manager qualification is preferred, candidates with Stage 3 qualification will be considered on the proviso of their  willingness and commitment  to progress to Stage 4.  

  • Experience in supervision, ability to work independently, and proficiency in following instructions are essential. Budget management skills, physical fitness, and familiarity with machinery operations are advantageous.
