Tuesday 4th October 2022

Founded in 2006 by British Olympic Eventer Robert Lemieux & his wife Lisa, LeMieux is both one of the leading and fastest-growing lifestyle brands selling horse and rider products across the UK and Internationally, with a reputation defined by unparalleled quality with exceptional value. We cater for all levels of equestrians, from casual to competition riders, and Olympians.

As an employer, we pride ourselves on creating job opportunities for the local Equestrian community across Hampshire and now employ over 80 staff from our HQ in East Wellow near Romsey with a love for all things equine running through our business.

The Position

This a unique opportunity for someone who may have previously worked as a Competition Groom or Yard Manager (or similar), and is experienced, comfortable and confident working on administrative duties during their day-to-day, as well as handling horses.

If you're looking to transition away from yard work and into a more commercial setting, whilst remaining within the equine industry, this is an excellent chance to do so - and at one of the fastest growing private companies in the UK (66th, officially - as ranked by the Sunday Times 100.

We are looking for someone to work alongside our Product Design team, supporting the department with the introduction of new product ranges within our Equine lines - which includes saddle pads, boots and bandages, headcollars, bridles, saddlery, stirrups and girths, fly masks and hoods, bits, browbands and more.

One day you could be assisting with managing the fittings on horses, which is a step in the process that ensures that products are suitable, durable, comfortable, and aesthetically pleasing, with technical performance, sustainability, design and quality all in mind. The next you're organising and updating design files or assisting with product samples, data and descriptions.

You'll essentially be the go to for when our Product Designers require a helping hand at any stage of the process, which means there'll be lots of variety in your work.

Your Attributes

  • An equestrian-enthusiast with comprehensive knowledge and understanding of various equine products. You will have excellent knowledge of the correct fitting of these, on a wide variety of horses.
  • Confident handling a range of horses (including fit, strong, competition horses)
  • Takes pride in being well-organised with a meticulous approach
  • Excellent communication skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Proficient administrative skills including the ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of or experience in the likes of Adobe InDesign would be beneficial, but is not a requirement.

Additional Benefits

  • Staff discount on LeMieux products
  • Career development opportunities – many of our staff have transitioned from Yard based work or Equine degrees and progressed within the business, gaining exposure in specialist departments.
  • Opportunity to join the biggest equestrian brand in the UK
  • Generous pension contributions
