Position Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a horse lover with a good range of equine knowledge to join our equine claims team in Brentford.  Although your primary role will be to manage customer claims, liaising with the wider claims team and working alongside the underwriting team to ensure accurate claims assessment; you will also work  closely with the equine sales and service team to look for ways to improve the overall customer journey.

This role is to assess claims in line with the policy terms and conditions, ensuring that the highest level of customer service is provided.  You will provide accurate and efficient input and assessment of equine veterinary fees, death and non-veterinary fee claims. In addition, as part of the claims team you will be expected to be able to identify fraud indicators and refer these cases to the Claims Validation team. 

  • Skills & Experience
  • Customer service experience and knowledge of the terms and conditions is an advantage
  • Equine knowledge/experience is essential
  • Equine qualification is desirable
  • Previous basic insurance knowledge would be desirable but not essential
  • Knowledge of equine terminology and the willingness to learn and develop are essential.
  • Ability to manage and prioritise own workload.
  • Good numeracy skills and excellent written and verbal skills
  • GCSE grade A-C in Maths and English, or equivalent
  • Can-do attitude and be willing to flex to suit the needs of the department
