Sheldrake Training, an Ofsted ‘GOOD’ provider (July 2024), offers high quality, individualised apprenticeships for Equine Groom and Senior Equine Groom. Sheldrake is a forward-thinking, high-quality training company, with a friendly and close-knit team ethos, delivering both of the equine apprenticeships to equine yards across the South and South West.
We are looking for an experienced Apprenticeship Coach to assist in the delivery of the equine programmes to join the team in the Hampshire, Somerset, Wiltshire, Gloucestershire areas.
You will be required to:
Coach learners on the 2 equine apprenticeship standards; Equine Groom (EG) and Senior Equine Groom (SEG).
Carry out learner inductions, initial assessments and reviews in the workplace including delivery of content in partnership with employers.
Attend quarterly standardisation sessions and keep CPD up to date.
Update the programme manager regularly or as directed on apprentice progress including gateway timings, completions and EPA dates.
Provide support and assistance to learners as they go through their Functional Skills, including implementing action plans provided by the FS tutor.
You will need:
Proven record of work in the equine sector
Qualified or experienced Coach in the workplace/FE sector (apprenticeship training will be provided)
Excellent communication, ICT and administrative skills
A positive can-do attitude, with the ability to influence and develop effective working relationships with learners, employers and colleagues
