These include superior quality nutritional supplements specifically designed to optimize health and boost performance and essential health care products for performance horses. Products are developed by an experienced multi-disciplinary team including veterinary surgeons, chemists, equine nutritionists and horsemen and women in accordance with our customers needs. Through development and innovation trials in-house and in leading educational institutes, products are put through their paces to ensure superior levels of efficacy, safety and quality.

 The UK is our largest export market and is an integral part of our corporate development plan. We have an established UK customer base across racing, breeding and sport horse disciplines. We are focused on growing and developing our customer base in the UK through continued investment in both resource and our communication plan.    

 We are currently seeking applications for the role of Equine Technical Sales. 

The successful candidate will be the technical sales expert for our entire Foran range of equine supplements. The customer base will include both trade customers and end users across a variety of performance disciplines including racing, breeding and sport horse.

The role is predominately a field based role covering Southern England.  

This position requires a candidate with proven experience in equine nutrition at a senior level. The chosen candidate will be working with the leading racehorse trainers and sport horse riders in the UK on a daily basis.   

Key Accountabilities:

  • Management of customer enquiries
  • Development of new accounts along with maintenance of existing customer base
  • Identifying product opportunities based on seasonality
  • Provide full customer service including diet and healthcare recommendations, using the support of sampling and testing facility.
  • Providing technical support to the sales team in the field
  • Deliver product training for trade customers
  • Effective implementation of the ordering process and monitoring to delivery and customer follow up
  • Providing technical articles and other materials to the marketing team as required
  • Representing the company at events including presentations & talks. 

*The Role is not limited to the above tasks, duties and responsibilities that you will be required to perform.

Personal specification & core competencies: 

  • In depth knowledge of the UK Horse Racing and Breeding Industry
  • Minimum of 3 years’ industry experience (Veterinary, Pharmaceutical, Nutrition)
  • Equine Science and or Veterinary Nursing Qualifications
  • Experience in performance nutrition
  • Ability to work as part of a cross functional team
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Full EU Driving License 

Salary for this position will be in the range £30k to £32k per annum
