Rectory Farm Arena is a busy equestrian competition centre holding both affiliated and unaffiliated shows. We are looking for an Event Organsier to join the team and look after the running of the shows and the day-to-day hire of the arenas.

General duties and responsibilities:

Your responsibilities will include organising and running the many shows that we hold each year from British Showjumping, Pony Club and NSEA competitions to Unaffiliated Showjumping, Combined Training and Arena Eventing. In addition to running the shows, you will also be responsible for the day-to-day aspects of the arena hire. 

Candidates wishing to apply should have equine knowledge and experience of affiliated equestrian competitions. We are looking for a self-motivated and enthusiastic team player who has excellent communication and tech skills.

Tasks required of applicants:

• Manage the online entry systems
• Manage the online show schedules
• Organise helpers and judges for the competitions
• Maintain records and financial accounts for the show
• Help administrate the sponsorship for the shows
• Sort start times for competitors 
• Manage inventory of rosettes and snack wagon
• Assist with course building

Skills/Experience required:

• Good computer skills including strong spreadsheet skills
• Experience using social media platforms
• Previous website editing experience, ideally WordPress
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong customer service skills
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to multi-task
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail

Terms/Conditions:

• 5 days per week. You must be prepared to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays during the show season from March to October
• Salary - dependent on experience
• House share available. Ideally looking for someone to live on site
