Hilton Herbs is a long-established, award-winning and innovative family-owned company specialising in the research, development, manufacture and marketing of top-quality herbal feed supplements and natural healthcare products for horses and pets.  

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, self-motivated, organised and professional individual to join our team, working at our offices in North Perrot, Somerset.  The successful applicant must be a fluent German speaker (both written and spoken) with a background in customer sales, development and service. Good IT skills (Microsoft Office) are a prerequisite and both knowledge and use of current social media platforms are essential. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • To manage German sales order processing (web, telephone, email)
  • Translation of existing and future company promotional literature
  • To develop & maintain a proactive relationship with existing German customers (Retail and Trade)
  • To identify potential new customers in the German market (Retail & Trade)
  • To provide a professional & friendly customer service, thereby retaining the reputation of our expert Helpline (via email, web chat and telephone).
  • Develop & carry out marketing campaigns with the aim of increasing our market-share in Germany
  • Assist with day-to-day content management of our German e-Commerce websites 

Qualifications and Experience Needed.

  • Fluent spoken and written German (essential)
  • Good keyboard skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office (essential)
  • Good verbal (telephone manner) and written communications skills (essential)
  • An ability to work both independently and as part of a small team (essential)
  • Knowledge and experience of using mainstream social media platforms (essential )
  • Proven practical sales experience in both B2B & B2C Marketing (essential)
  • Experience in order processing via web & telephone (desirable)
  • Knowledge of Sage Line 50 accounts software (desirable)
  • Interest in the equine/pet supplement industry and knowledge of changes facing the industry (desirable)
  • Knowledge and interest in natural health care for animals (desirable)
  • Previous experience of website CMS and/or CRM systems (desirable)
  • Practical knowledge of horses and pets (desirable)

 This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual with a proven track-record in customer service to join our team and help further develop our German B2B and B2C market.

Full product training will be provided. This is an office-based position so applicants should live within reasonable commuting distance of our offices near Crewkerne, Somerset. UK

Initially this is a part time position, but we anticipate the role could become full time as our German market develops.

Hours: Monday–Friday 9.00 am – 2.00 pm
