Dodson & Horrell Ltd has been manufacturing industry leading horse feed for over 80 years. In 2020, the brand merged with HJ Lea Oakes and moved its manufacturing facilities to their new home in Cheshire where they continue to create high quality and innovative products.
We are currently looking for an experienced Graphic Designer/Marketing Assistant to join our team in delivering outstanding customer service. This vacancy is based in our main office in Aston, Cheshire.
Job Description and Profile
To support the Marketing Manager in creating engaging and on-brand marketing materials across all marketing channels. To become the guardian for the brand identity across Dodson & Horrell Ltd.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: Graphic design related qualifications, ideally degree level.
- 2+ years in professional commercial design experience, either in-house or with a marketing or creative agency.
- Extensive experience with Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign, specifically with mock-ups, web design and multimedia presentations.
- Experience working with Lightspeed CMS advantageous.
- Adaptive design eye and skills.
- Highly adaptable and organised person, able to multitask.
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver to a deadline.
- Excellent, clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to adapt complex scientific information to the audience.
- Ability to work well as part of a team, including cooperation with other departments.
- Driving licence, this role will require site visits
Main duties and Responsibilities:
- To manage and prioritise workload whilst creating visual aspects of marketing materials, packaging, brochures, stand and exhibition design, datasheets, adverts (print and digital), social assets, websites, emails, retail POS, PowerPoint and other media, including infographics.
- Put together disparate elements of a design created by another professional/ agency, such as the icons, photographs and other components necessary to create a strong campaign.
- Work alongside the brand and commercial teams, to create cohesive designs that reflect our brands corporate cultures and goals.
- Work in conjunction with a preferred agency to help develop campaign ideas then deliver on the concept.
- Run all social media channels, creating content, driving engagement and reply to customers.
- Help organise shows and events.
Terms:
- Full time position (37.5 hours a week, normally between 9am-5pm Monday and Friday, but might at times require some weekend work and being available to take out of hours calls).
