It’s what you CAN do that counts
Head of Coach Training and Education/National Training Centre, Riding for the Disabled Association
For over 50 years we have developed a strong track record for delivering personalised, goal-orientated programmes for our participants via an amazing team of volunteers, equines and coaches. Our network of RDA groups and centres throughout the UK is an exciting equestrian and training heritage to build on as our new Head of Coaching, Training and Education.
Based at our National Office and equestrian centre in the beautiful Warwickshire countryside, you will lead our coaching, training and education team, continuing to support and grow our capacity to enable more people to access RDA activities. You’ll also bring extensive equine development, business and commercial experience to manage our National Training and Equestrian Centre, balancing the needs of all its users; underpinning its role at the heart of our coaching development.
You’ll be passionate about empowering nearly 3,000 coaches to support c.17,000 participants of all ages who are just starting to learn at grassroots, through to those who want to compete across a wide range of disciplines including carriage driving, dressage, show jumping and vaulting at regional, national and Para competition level. You’ll be experienced in designing training and education ranging from lesson planning through to coach development and assessment. You’ll also know how to harness the power of advanced coaching skills development alongside mentoring and supporting our coaching community to ensure best practise and skills are cascaded and embedded at all levels in our organisation. You’ll enjoy debate and co-production of resources and training and have knowledge on leading consultation and engagement with volunteers’ communities.

Highly motivated and possessing an immense sense of pride in your work; you're passionate about delivering great and responsive customer service design and delivery to our coaches, volunteers and clients.
You have a constant eye for development – from responding to feedback from our volunteers on the ground to horizon scanning and ensuring we’re up to speed on equine and coaching industry best practises and opportunities.
Confident and passionate about equine management, training/development, and welfare and excited about leading our equestrian centre and team to the highest potential.
A strong team leader with great communication skills and an enthusiastic approach who instils pride; you're a strong project manager with an eye for detail and great business acumen.
