The Thoroughbred Breeders’ Association (TBA), represents the interests of British breeders, continually working to improve the sustainability of the industry and the long-term health and future of the breed.

The role will primarily involve providing the vital administrative support to the functioning of the TBA and its Board of Trustees. It will include the organisation of meetings, preparation and distribution of papers, minute taking and production of associated business documents.

It will also:

  • Organise the Trustee election process and AGM
  • Provide administrative support across the business
  • Responsibility for non-member data within the CRM system and provision of relevant information and reports for the Board, Committees and Executive
  • Assist with key projects
  • Assist with ensuring good governance processes for the charity to meet legal obligations and best practice
  • Provide support for the finance and membership function.

The successful candidate will be someone who:

  • Can demonstrate extensive experience of administrative support and customer service.
  • Has experience of working in a team.
  • Has excellent organisational skills and is pro-active with the ability to prioritise workload in order to meet competing deadlines.
  • Has good IT literacy, is a competent user of Office 365 and is familiar with video conferencing software including Zoom and Teams.
  • Can demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, including accurate minute taking, with an eye for detail and ability to tailor communications for differing audiences.
  • Good knowledge of the breeding, racing and bloodstock sales industry.
  • Is a collaborative worker and be willing to be flexible to meet the demands of the organisation.
  • Has a clean driving licence.

The position is based at the TBA’s office in Newmarket, with a salary and benefits package dependent on relevant experience and skills. We welcome applicants who can offer part-time (25 hours min) or full time hours.
