DRIVER- LGV Category C / Events Support 

Full Time- 40 hours per week 

Salary: Competitive plus benefits 

Based at our new HQ near Stoneleigh, Warwickshire 

The British Horse Society is the nation’s largest equine charity with a passion for horses that is backed by knowledge and expertise. The BHS represents and provides a range of services for horse riders, horse owners, enthusiasts and professionals. 

This is a new and exciting position within the Society and it’s more than a ‘driving job’ The BHS lorry has been commissioned to support the Society’s work and will attend key equestrian events, conferences and training/education events throughout the UK. Responsibilities will include ensuring the vehicle is delivered in a first class condition, completing all necessary paperwork and above all, leaving everyone you meet with a positive impression of you and our society. 

  • Main role - Driver: We are looking for an experienced driver able to drive and set up the BHS mobile classroom in a safe and timely manner. Key locations will be identified during the year for the lorry to be in attendance. 
  • Secondary Role – Event Support: Whilst at any of these events you will support the BHS team with the smooth running of the day(s). This will include assisting with the pre set-up of the classroom, instructing the team on how to use the technical equipment and most importantly welcoming our members, our volunteers and the public.
  • Knowledge of the equestrian industry is desirable but not essential.
  • You must have a flexible approach to working as the busy show season will be over weekends, this is a unique role and will be expected to be on the road, traveling across the UK within the working and driving regulations.
