World Horse Welfare is an international charity that improves the lives of horses in the UK and around the world through education, campaigning, and hands-on care.
As part of the fundraising team, you will work closely with the Senior Marketing Officer to realise World Horse Welfare’s full fundraising and membership potential, focusing on donor recruitment and stewardship, membership acquisition, and delivering successful fundraising campaigns to maximise the charity’s income. Working across a broad range of projects, you will have a keen interest in, or willingness to learn, about direct and indirect fundraising marketing techniques, and you will be focused on getting the best from our supporter data, helping to ensure that we deliver engaging activity.
You will assist the Senior Marketing Officer with the execution and delivery of the annual fundraising and marketing strategy, focused on membership recruitment, fundraising appeals and legacy marketing. You will also assist with the planning, organisation and implementation of fundraising campaigns in line with the annual fundraising plan.
Our ideal candidate will be highly organised, a team player with great attention to detail. You will have the ability to plan, execute and review activity and possess an excellent understanding of digital marketing concepts and best practices. You must have an eye for good design and brand application across a range of channels.
Experience of developing and implementing marketing promotions plans and delivering them on time and on budget is essential. Experience working in a marketing and/or fundraising environment would be advantageous, but is not essential, however a fantastic attitude and common sense are.
This role is suitable for hybrid working split between home and our head office in Norfolk.
A flexible approach to work is essential as you may be required to occasionally work outside of normal office hours and be prepared to travel within the UK staying away from home.
We take great pride in being realistic, compassionate and forward-thinking and the successful applicant will be expected to share these values. We are committed to championing equality and diversity in all aspects of employment and in the services that it provides. We encourage applications from under-represented groups, particularly ethnically diverse communities, LGBTQ+ and disabled people.
