The successful candidate will have significant experience in feild sales and a proven track record of good sales performance. Sales management experience at national level is not essential but is desirable.

  • A good understanding of technical nutritional concepts

  • Highly competent and confident in the use customer relationship management (CRM) software
  • Proficient in the use of technology, computers and cloud computing systems
  • Target driven
  • Highly articulate with a deft touch for helping others understand technical concepts
  • Highly organised, efficient and punctual

Core Responsibilities

(List is not exhaustive)

National responsibilities

  • Management and growth of overall UK national sales 
  • Management of our regional field sales team 
  • Actively supporting regional management of key accounts 
  • Field sales performance accountability 
  • Sales data management, analysis and reporting 
  • Assisting in target setting
  • Ensuring regional sales teams ongoing personal development and training 
  • Managing company trade show calendar 
  • Managing staffing of trade shows 
  • Attending and setting up trade shows 

Regional responsibilities

  • Establishing and nurturing retail relationships at wholesale and store level 
  • Providing on yard technical and sales support to larger customers in the region
  • Generating and following up on leads through to completion 
  • Managing relationships with sponsored riders in the region 
  • Building relationships with thoroughbred studs and providing high quality technical sales support
  • Building relationships with racehorse trainers and providing technical and sales support 
  • Giving nutritional talks at various events as well as on camera for marketing purposes
  • Responding to clients technical nutritional enquiries 

Position structure 

This position is full time - 5 days per week.

Some weekend and evening work required. The role will sometimes require staying away from home. 

The role is based from our head office in Marlborough, Wiltshire. Part of your time will be spent in the office and part in the field. The amount in each will be determined by the demands of the role.
