We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Nutritional Advisor (Helpline) to join our team.

The role is based in our Peterborough Office and is part of the Technical team.

The successful candidate will provide nutritional and technical advice, support customers and staff, increase sales, and support the company’s high profile within the equine market. Support to be given via direct contact, email, live chat, and telephone. 

Key Responsibilities:    

  • Providing nutritional advice and support to customers and staff.
  • Accurately and efficiently recording customer contact on appropriate databases.
  • Gathering information on other feed and supplement products available and documenting/reporting this information appropriately.
  • Assist with forage analysis services as required.
  • Provide talks/presentations and attend open days/shows as required.
  • In-house training to support members of staff.
  • Input into product development, putting forward the end-users’ point of view from information gathered.
  • Technical sales support through customer visits as required.
  • To remain up to date with product and scientific developments within the company and within the industry.
  • Creation of nutritionally related content including presentations and copy writing as assigned.
  • To undertake training to meet the continued needs of the role and the business.

The successful candidate will:   

Be educated to degree level/graduate calibre.

Hold an animal science or equine science degree (desirable)       

Significant nutritional and practical experience in the equine field is required, along with knowledge of equine feed and supplement products and brands. Previous experience in a customer facing role is desirable.

It would be essential for the successful candidate to possess excellent customer service skills, a keen interest in and familiarity of equine feeding, along with a confident and professional telephone manner to enable successful outcomes. A proactive approach to problem solving and day to day tasks. Good keyboard skills and computer literacy – intermediate level of MS Office software. High level of accuracy and attention to detail along with the ability to multitask well.   Ability to organise and prioritise workload. Clear written and verbal communication skills. Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
