J S Equine have a excellent opportunity for a bright self motivated person to join our team in Birdlip, Gloucestershire. You will need to be a positive and confident individual with a drive to constantly improve customer service and increase sales through both J S Equine and our wholesale division. A flexible approach and good people management skills are essential to the role, along with the ability to manage time and tasks effectively. You will need to be a quick learner and preferably have previous experience in an office or retail environment.

The role will involve;

  • Communicating frequently with both our equine and wholesale customers.
  • Taking responsibility for the  management of the office including queries with customers, suppliers, staff and stock.
  • Deliver excellent customer service across direct and website sales.
  • Place orders and liaise with suppliers using our orderwise system.
  • Manage and maximise sales opportunities through incoming and outgoing calls
  • Provide and manage effective and efficient support for sales representatives
  • Manage support to marketing department and ensure deadlines are met
  • Develop and constantly improve systems related to your position, to be more excellent, effective and efficient
  • Attending trade shows
  • Having an active role in our social media and marketing programme.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have excellent attention to detail
  • Will be organised and not prone to 'drop the ball' when under pressure.
  • Be a confident and friendly communicator
  • Be loyal and confidential
  • Have an understanding of the equine industry and it's seasonal activity and customer demand.
