We’re now recruiting an Operations Team Leader. The person in this role will deliver and oversee a best in class fulfilment & warehouse function that serves and meets the need of a growing and demanding business.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Manage Order Fulfilment
Our customers trust us to provide them with the highest levels of service with respect to fulfilment and returns. You will play a key role in maintaining and improving those standards by:
- Ensuring that customer orders are picked, packed and despatched in a way that meets or exceeds customer expectations
- Execute our Returns Policy effectively, again in the interests of excellent customer service
Manage the Operations Team
You will act as Team Leader, ensuring the successful day-to-day running of the operations function. This includes:
- Managing the workload of team members
- Checking work for quality to ensure standards are met
- Ensuring that work is completed efficiently and accurately
- Engendering a team spirit and maintaining a happy workplace
- Training new team members and coaching / developing existing ones
- Setting staff rotas and agreeing holidays
- Managing staff absence, productivity and accuracy
- Ensuring Health & Safety policies are implemented and followed
- Dealing with first line personnel matters relating to the Fulfilment & Warehouse team, including recruitment and training of team members
Manage fulfilment processes, including
- Order picking, packing and despatch
- Processing suppliers’ paperwork and queries
- Processing returns from customers
- Routine administrative duties.
Manage operations processes, including
- Receiving goods
- Maintaining accurate stock figures
- Processing suppliers’ paperwork and queries
- Processing debits to suppliers
- Other duties to ensure efficient warehouse operation.
Other duties
- Responsible for maintaining high standards in the warehouse.
- Act as liaison between the Directors and the Warehouse Team, ensuring that all company policies are followed, and that company strategy is communicated and implemented

Essential skills & qualifications
- 5 or more GCSEs at grade C or above (or equivalent);
- Experience in retail management at supervisor level or above (or able to demonstrate highly relevant transferrable skills to this position).
Desirable skills & qualifications
- Knowledge of equestrianism.

Pay and conditions
- Salary of £25,000 - £35,000, dependent on experience.
- 5 days a week
- 2 x paid 15-minute breaks, one in the morning & one in the afternoon
- Unpaid ½ hour lunch break
- As with any managerial role, you will be expected to work additional hours, as necessary, to ensure the smooth running of the business and to fulfil your own responsibilities.
