Payments & Operations, Assistant Manager 

Salary: £35,000 plus per annum – Depending on Experience 

We are looking for a dynamic leader with proven experience of leading in a payments environment.  You will be responsible for overseeing the payments team and implementing change programmes as necessary to meet the requirements of a changing regulatory and operational landscape. 

• You should have a good working knowledge of all principal payment channels as well as an awareness of the impact of impending changes such as PSD2, cheque imaging and continued digitalisation. 
• Your experience should include effective incident and resolution management with strong communication skills to support internal and external stakeholder management. 
• Strong knowledge of banking procedures is essential, together with the ability to deliver efficiencies and improvements in the Bank’s payment proposition. 
• You will have proven second line management skills and have the ability to inspire, train and coach a group of people whilst being able to operate in a pressurised environment. 

This role will also include supporting the Operations Manager with day to day and strategic activities across the wider processing teams, made up of account opening and general administration teams.  This will include evaluating and addressing operational risks and driving a continuous improvement culture which enhances the client experience. This role will be based in our Wellingborough office.
