Salary: £25,000 – £30,000 per annum – Depending on Experience 

A full-time vacancy has arisen within the Racing Team for a Point-to-Point Supervisor.  This high-profile team is responsible for the collation and dissemination of Point-to-Point entries, results, data and information within the PPRC publications and the industry website pointtopoint.co.uk.

The Supervisor will have primary responsibility for the day to day operational running of the team, and for ensuring that the work is carried out to the high standard required and in the appropriate time frame.  The successful candidate will be expected to become an expert on the operational tasks that the team conduct.

Key Functions of the Point-to-Point Supervisor:

  • Day to day management of the team, including organisation of weekend rotas and performance reviews.
  • Liaising with external freelance staff including race readers and video suppliers.
  • Maintaining a close working relationship with the Point-to-Point Authority and the Point-to-Point Executive at BHA, with opportunities to represent the PPRC at industry meetings and on sponsorship days at the racecourse.
  • Compiling monthly management reports and KPIs for Board members.
  • Overseeing the distribution of entries and results to stakeholders and customers.
  • Proof reading and editing copy for publications and websites.

Based from our Wellingborough office, this role will suit a flexible and enthusiastic individual looking to progress their career towards management level. An understanding of the sport of Point-to-Point would be desirable and, as you will need to be able to motivate and lead a team, previous management experience is preferred.

This exciting and challenging role will suit an individual who is logical, analytical, accurate and organised.  A flexibility of approach will also be critical in a fast-changing environment, as will be the ability to work some weekends and out of hours shifts during the busy periods of the season.
