Due to demand and expansion of the business we are looking for 2 new full time team members to join the business! We are seeking a production operative who pays great attention to detail, manages their time efficiency and is well organised. You will be able to follow routine and be a great team player with future role progression opportunities.

We are a family company founded in 1957, with 65 years of expertise in caring for horses and poultry. We specialise in the production of British premium animal bedding, with our new state of the art manufacturing facilities and a boundless passion for animals! There’s never been a more exciting time to join.

Running our production plant comprising of but not limited to:-

• Computerised Straw and Wood Shavings Production Plant
• Pelleting machine
• Auto baling machines
• Auto bagging machines
• Stretch Hooder

Your duties will comprise of-

• Monitoring the production process
• Feeding raw material into the machinery
• Operating the production machinery as required, such as folk lift trucks and telescopic loaders
• Cleaning machinery and other parts of the production space
• Maintaining an inventory of goods and raw materials in the factory or storage areas
• Noting machine faults and reporting to workshop
• Maintaining work areas and equipment
• Performing quality control checks of products
• Promote goodwill and a positive company image to fellow colleagues
• Perform other duties as required by MD
• Forklift and telescopic loader experience
• Mechanical knowledge is desirable

Terms and Benefits

This is a full-time factory based position so you must be able to commute on a daily basis to Metfield on the Norfolk/ Suffolk boarder.

Rate of pay negotiable depending on experience.
