Equestrian Direct is looking to appoint a Part Time Racing Ambassador living in the Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire, Warwickshire or Worcestershire Area.

Equestrian Direct is a family run business with more than 30 years’ experience providing durable and high-quality performance riding surfaces suitable for use across all disciplines, especially gallops.

As a Racing Ambassador you will join our small team to support the sales of our riding surfaces throughout Racing and Equine Performance yards.

This is a part-time position and would ideally suit an equestrian enthusiast who has established contacts and influence within the racing industry or already providing a service to racing yards, with proven customer service sales experience and looking to work up to two days, a week (8 to 16 hours pw). 

The successful applicant will already be located within the Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire, Warwickshire, Worcestershire areas and already be self-employed providing equestrian services.

Essential experience and skills:

  • Be passionate and knowledgeable about the Racing and performance equestrian activities

  • Be an excellent communicator with a proven ability to build positive relationships

  • Self–organised, motivated and confident to work independently

  • Effective in time management, able to research, book appointments and plan visits

  • Have the ability to negotiate and influence outcomes

  • Have a basic competency in Microsoft applications including Word and Excel

  • Be a car owner and have a full driving licence

  • Be a great Team player

Responsibilities include:

  • Working closely with our sales manager to grow sales and increase brand presence through yard visits

  • Update and improve yard point of sale

  • Collect market feedback to aid future sales and product strategies

  • Attend occasional trade and equine events

  • Identify potential new business opportunities within the specified sector

The role offers flexible hours and will include a quarterly training day at our office in the West Midlands.

Renumeration:

An attractive visit/day rate, mileage and a bonus scheme.

  • Preferred Candidate Interviews – 12th February (in-person, Ullenhall, Warwickshire or Zoom)
