Salary: £19,000 to £21,000 per annum – Depending on Experience 

A vacancy has arisen to join our VAT Services Department in our Wellingborough office.  You will be responsible for providing the authorisation process for all applications, requiring a VAT registration under the Racehorse Owners VAT Scheme.   The role also holds responsibility for all administrative aspects of the VRS area, including dealing with all customer enquiries within 24 hours of receipt.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure all required paperwork regarding the VAT application (e.g. D1/D2, VAT 1, VAT 2 and VRS flyer) are provided to the client for completion within 24 hours of a request.
• Maintenance of the VRS pending spread sheet is up to date, accurate and clearly detailed on a daily basis.
• Upon receipt ensure D1/D2’s are submitted to BHA for authorisation.
• Check that all letters sent to clients and HMRC are accurate, clear and concise.
• Ensure upon receipt of clients Certificate of Registration these are passed to the BHA for registration and process accordingly.
• Register all new applicants for on-line registrations.
• Once established and registered on line, contact new clients to obtain all invoices.
• Complete monthly mail shots to new WBL clients – liaising with Managers/Directors as required.

The ideal candidate should have strong numeracy and organisational skills, be a good communicator and able to manage their time effectively.  These skills are essential for this role. Racing knowledge is advantageous.
