Registrations Supervisor

Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum Depending on Experience 

A vacancy has arisen within the Racing Department for a Registrations Supervisor.  Your role will be to oversee the daily operation of the Registrations Team, including the registration and reservation of horse names, the processing of Racing Clearance Notifications, the registration of owners (and all other ownership types). A key requirement of this role will be to ensure that all registrations are processed in line and in accordance with the Rules of Racing and that all key contractual obligations are met, whilst offering excellent customer service to our clients. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Primary responsibility for ensuring all relevant registrations are processed in line with the Rules of Racing and meet or surpass our contractual obligations with the British Horse Racing Association.
  • Have a thorough knowledge of all registration processes to provide support to the team and to clients.
  • Use initiative to look for improvements to processes and procedures to enhance and streamline departmental activity.
  • Ensure that staff are trained appropriately in providing the correct advice to clients and maintaining an accurate skills matrix.
  • Arranging 1-1 discussions with staff, organizing monthly team meetings, carrying out performance reviews twice a year and undertaking back to work interviews.
  • Ad hoc administrative duties, including but not restricted to provision of statistics, weekly team updates, presentations to staff and clients and update of team documentation. 

This exciting role will suit an individual who is looking to progress their career within the racing industry.  Although not essential, previous management experience is preferred as you will be required to motivate and lead a team.  You will be logical, analytical, accurate and organized.  Flexibility to work in this fast-changing environment is required.   Finally, an understanding of the racing industry would be desirable for this role based at our Wellingborough office.
