Retail Development Manager: The Fussy Filly

Salary: £24,000.00 per year (£11.54 per hour)

Full Time - 40 hours per week – hours negotiable

The Fussy Filly tack and gift shop is owned by Horses and Ponies Protection Association (Registered Charity in England and Wales). The Charity is actively seeking a retail professional capable of driving the development of the onsite shop and associated ecommerce website.

The ideal candidate will be proficient in the following:

Retail

• Identify and develop opportunities for sales growth including range development, best sellers, and category’s performance
• Points of sale

Merchandising

• A successful track record in retail and the ability to generate sales
• The drive to develop and professionally represent a brand
• Utilisation of social media platforms to generate sales
• Developing supplier relationships
• Stock management
• Gift aid processing

Ecommerce

• Managing and uploading product data, assets, images, and videos
• Monitoring and testing the website to ensure all links, functionality and content and pages are working seamlessly
• Responsible for SEO including monitoring ranking for SEO keywords, and all on page and off page SEO
• Keeping up to date with all relevant developments in the ecommerce industries
• Database integration
• WordPress, WooCommerce, Meta Business Suite and Google Analytics

In addition to being proficient in the above the post holder will have the drive and determination to develop the Charity’s Membership and Sponsorship Schemes.

The successful candidate will be a keen retail professional with line management experience, a customer focus, personable, forwards thinking and commercially minded. An in-depth understanding of equestrian products and their uses is beneficial to the post but not essential.
