Riding School Manager

A new opportunity has arisen at Smugglers Equestrian Centre to manage our busy BHS established riding school.

The successful candidate will manage our team in the running of our busy riding school, they should be an enthusiastic person who can be a positive role model for staff and who work individually or as a team.

Full time position, Monday to Friday 9am-5pm.

Responsibilities include:

• This is a clerical and hands on position.

• Organising and overseeing yard staff duties.

• Work with our online booking system

• Maintaining records and liaising with farrier, dentist and physio for regular visits.

• Schooling, training horses.

• Oversee Welfare of horses

• Health & Safety requirements

• Promoting the business to a wider audience

• Liaising with relevant governing bodies eg BHS, local authority for Licences etc

• Arranging holiday/sickness cover for instructors and staff.

• Promoting good practice within the work place

• Being included in courses eg Fire Training

• Minimum BHS AI or equivalent qualification.
