Silvermoor, the leading equestrian manufacturer of healthy, nutritious haylage and horse treats, is looking to appoint a Sales Account manager to manage business relationships with key wholesale and retail customers and drive sales growth.
Silvermoor has recently invested in a new dedicated manufacturing facility and offices, and has an ambitious and exciting program of growth linked to existing and new product development. The Sales Account Manager will be integral to the achievement of the company’s business goals, increasing sales to existing customers and developing new business opportunities.

The ideal candidate will:
Be confident, out-going, driven, enthusiastic, personable and ambitious
Be a B2B salesperson that ideally - has worked / is working within the equestrian market, is experienced in driving sales through retailers to wholesalers and has a knowledge of equestrian nutrition and / or owns / rides horses
Have a proven track record in achieving / exceeding sales targets, managing existing customer business, prospecting and securing new business
Be self-motivated, target driven, able to work independently and as part of a team.
Have excellent written skills and numeracy
Be an excellent communicator
Be computer literate (Microsoft office suite / CRM / Internet / social media)
* Please note salespeople working in other markets will be considered based upon relevant sales experience
The Sales Account Manager will:
Contribute to sales strategy & business plan development,
Meet / exceed quarterly and annual sales targets
Account-manage existing key customers by visiting in person and teleconferencing
Upsell additional and new products to wholesalers and retailers
Secure new customers / profitable business
Maintain sales records / details of pipeline / customer contacts etc
Provide monthly / quarterly sales forecasts
Provide market intelligence and record / relay customer feedback
Contribute to new product development ideas based on market demand and competitor / product differentiation
Maintain good working relations / regular communication with the company’s sales agents working collaboratively with them to share market & customer information, working as a team to achieve targeted growth
Be an exemplary brand ambassador
Work collaboratively with Marketing to aligning promotion through all channels with timely sales activity.
Develop, build and maintain a business network of equestrian industry contacts.
Attend / represent Silvermoor at trade fairs, publicity events, shows and exhibitions
Travel routinely within a defined geographical area (necessitating some overnight stays away from home) although this should be balanced with teleconferencing to limit unnecessary travel and maximise customer interaction / service.
A competitive remuneration package is offered subject to experience, including base salary, bonus and usual benefits / tools for such roles including car, pension, mobile phone and lap-top computer.
