For the future growth of Thunderbrook Equestrian horse feed and supplements we are looking for a Sales Account Manager to be responsible for the sales of Thunderbrook in the UK.

Who is Thunderbrook?

The brand Thunderbrook Equestrian is a horse feed brand founded in 2009 by Dr. Deborah Carley in Norfolk. Over the years Thunderbrook developed into one of the leading horse feed and supplement brands in the UK. Recently the brand Thunderbrook became part of Pavo horse feed.

What will you do?

The account manager sales of Thunderbrook Equestrian is commercially and operationally responsible for the positioning of Thunderbrook products in the existing wholesalers network, horse feed retailers and web shops that we currently serve. Next to that the account manager sales will be responsible for growing the number of retail points that sell Thunderbrook and look for new sales-channels in the online environment to support our growth. And he/she will support the introduction of new Thunderbrook products in our network as well as the in-store promotion of these products.

You know how to retain wholesalers and retailers through personal attention and tailored advice, both financially and operationally. You are a sparring partner of the entrepreneur and advise on strategic choices that retailers make. In addition, you know how to translate our on- and offline activities on the shopfloors. We expect you to take the initiative and continuously gather new insights in the market of horse feed and horse supplements.

You will work in a small team with short lines, where there is a no-nonsense culture and where every colleague has an enormous drive to help retailers. An ambitious team that wants to make the difference! The account manager sales of Thunderbrook is reporting to the general manager at Thunderbrook.

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Account management

  • Acquire potentially interesting retailers, e-tailers and chains

  • Introduction of consumer promotions in stores and web shops

  • Manage and maintain relationships with retailers by providing training and nutritional advice support

  • Contribute to shows, open days/evenings, yard calls, presentations and sponsorship activities

  • Follow market developments and identify trends, share relevant knowledge with the internal organization

  • Maintain contact with and advise horse customers

  • Monitor budgets and provide input into our CRM-system

This is on your resume:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in an economic field, Equine Science, Animal Science or equivalent

  • At least 3 years of relevant sales experience

  • Experience in account and process management with clients.

  • Proven commercial “attitude”, not afraid to take initiative and a pro-active networker
     

The ideal candidate will be based in the Midlands, extensive travel is a pre requisite of this role. The Thunderbrook HQ is based in Norfolk.
