Part time: 24 hours per week (4 days)

Based at:  Wisborough Green RH14 0HS

Salary: £28,000 p.a.pro rata

Start: 14th November 2016 or as soon as possible after this date.

Just Brilliant Events is a small company specialising in the design, marketing and management of large trade stand pavilions at Badminton and Burghley Horse Trials.  The company has a reputation for delivering an exceptional standard of customer care to its clients. 

The job is office based, currently in a rural area between Wisborough Green and Petworth, and applicants will need their own transport.  It is planned to re-locate to new offices in Rudgwick in 2018. 

Normal working hours are 9am - 3pm Monday to Thursday, although you may be required to work later in the run up to Badminton and Burghley. Holidays may not be taken during the 21 working days prior to Burghley each year. 

Job Description

The job covers all aspects of sales administration, as well as some office manager's duties. Briefly this includes:

  • sales processing, invoicing and credit control using Microsoft Office suite 2007
  • data entry using Act! CRM software (training will be provided if necessary)
  • sales spreadsheet management and account reconciliation
  • administrative support for the Managing Director and Marketing Manager
  • liaising with existing customers and responding to new sales enquiries
  • processing event information for clients and suppliers
  • managing mail, filing systems and distribution
  • managing office equipment and stationery, including repair and replacement

Skills and qualifications

The successful candidate will need to show evidence of the following:

  • expertise in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and CRM software - preferably Act!
  • excellent organisational, numerical and time management skills
  • a keen eye for detail
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • self-motivation and the ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure 
  • problem solving skills and ability to work on own initiative

An interest, or experience of the following would be useful, but are not essential:

  • Health and Safety and Data Protection regulations
  • Report writing
  • Equestrian Sports
  • Country lifestyle interests
  • Social media
