Saddles Direct established in 2004 is looking for a creative energetic individual with a great sense of humour to join our team of happy slightly crazy horsey enthusiasts. 

The main objective of this role is to take the Saddles Direct brand to new heights developing brand awareness, especially in two key areas new saddle sales and saddle fitting services, ultimately increasing sales and improving our customers entire experience.

This is a holistic role covering all aspects of marketing and sales management, including directing and leading the Saddles Direct Team to deliver exceptional customer service.

We need an individual who can:

  • Develop highly targeted and engaging marketing plans across both online and offline marketing channels
  • Create and delegate content requirements and schedule effectively all marketing activities, including social, newsletters, PR, blogs, video and events
  • Design a cohesive brand personality across all consumer touchpoints and marketing materials
  • Analyse and research market trends to stay ahead of the curve
  • Test and measure all activities and provide meaningful reports for optimised decision making
  • Manage, plan and control budgets
  • Work with, manage and influence key stakeholders such as the SD team, sponsored riders, SEO/CRO/PPC team, web developers, graphic designers, Societies and suppliers 

The successful candidate must:

  • Be very horsey and love the creative buzz of marketing
  • Be flexible - this role offers many public-facing opportunities and it is important that you are prepared to travel and contribute to events, launches and major competitions when required, including some weekends. 
  • Have a very positive mindset and be able to think outside of the box
  • Hold a proven record of marketing and sales experience 
  • Preferably have a degree in marketing
  • Have great communication skills
  • Be very organised and able to work under pressure
  • Understanding of performance analytics software
  • Proficient in IT, word, excel, photoshop, WordPress, and Mailchimp.

The small print:

This is results and target driven salary with a basic plus bonus. Basic salary is dependent on experience, but the combined earning potential is £22000 - £30000 Pro Rata
Hours may be flexible (24 – 40) and can include elements of remote work – travel to the Burnley office will be required weekly, therefore this is a great opportunity for someone needing a less rigid role.
28 days holiday (pro-rata) including bank holidays plus an extra day for you to have your birthday off (We all want a lie in on our birthday!)
