Eland Lodge is a thriving and successful equestrian business based in the Staffordshire countryside, and includes an Equestrian & Country Store, Competition Centre & Facility Hire, and 5* Livery Yard.

An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Equestrian & Country Store at Eland Lodge for a Sales Assistant to join our friendly team.

The role of a Sales Assistant includes:

• Welcoming, assisting and serving customers in our retail store
• Advising customers on the products we stock and the suitability of products for the customers’ requirementsFitting equestrian safety wear including hats, body protectors and air jackets
• Using technology including the till and stock system
• Answering the phone and responding to customer queries
• Assisting in the coffee shop by serving drinks and refreshments
• Keeping the shop neat and tidy, and assisting with merchandising products
• Assisting with inputting new stock into the stock system

• Can confidently deliver first class customer service to a range of customer
• Has good equine knowledge
• Is self-motivated and enthusiastic
• Is organised and has good attention to detail
• Is comfortable learning how to use new IT systems

Full training will be provided on fitting safety wear, all technical products, and use of the till/IT systems. This role will offer you the chance to grow your skills and experience in a knowledgeable and supportive equine environment. This job could be the ideal stepping stone for someone who would like to improve their product knowledge and progress into equestrian sales or retail management.

Full time and part time options available; will include a Sunday, plus some additional weekend cover during competitions. Salary is dependent on skills and experience. Working days/hours and salary will be discussed at interview.
