This brand new role provides an exciting opportunity for a competent and experienced Equestrian Coach/Manager to develop an equestrian programme(s) within one of the country’s top independent girls’ schools. Our ambition is to support and nurture all pupils who have an equine interest. Equestrian sport already figures impressively within its community with riders excelling in all disciplines, undertaking qualifications and competing for the school in NSEA competitions.

The role will bring the current pursuits into a comprehensive equestrian offering. This will support and nurture keen young riders and give prospective students the opportunity to identify with a pathway that can support their passion – whether this is learning to ride, keeping their own pony close to Cheltenham Ladies’ College, competing for College, or competing nationally for their country.

The appointment fits within College’s commitment to creating a new sports and physical activity strategy to maximise the return from college’s substantial investment in its new sports facilities.

Anticipated commitments: Year 1, up to 50 days; Year 2, up to 45 days.

With relevant qualifications, the appointee will have experience of supporting riders from all levels of the talent pathway from riding for fun to those that compete at national and junior rider level. They will have provide leadership of equestrian coaches, owners, parents and volunteers as well as in the development of long-term coaching and training programmes for riders and horses.
